Prima Nota Fest is an academic festival-competition that first took place in 2019. The main purpose of the festival is to help and identify young talented musicians in classical genres. Zarina Altynbayeva is the creator and artistic director of the festival.
Zarina Altynbayeva - an opera singer. In 2013 she became a soloist of the Abay State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre (Almaty), where he serves to this day. Since 2017, she opens the theater season on an annual basis. She performed at such Opera houses as Pergolesi Opera Theater (Italy), Astana Opera (Kazakhstan), Tbilisi Opera House (Georgia), Tokyo Bunka Kaikan (Japan), Mariinsky Theatre (Russia), etc.
In 2017, she performed at the opening of the international Universiade in Almaty, where she sang in a duet with Dimash Kudaibergenov. In addition to the Opera repertoire, Zarina performs chamber music, classical romances, Baroque music. In 2019, she released her Baroque Pearls solo album.
In 2019, Zarina organized the Republican academic contest-festival for young musicians - Prima Nota Fest, which became a significant event in the cultural life of Kazakhstan and made big news. The contest is aimed at the development of classical performing arts. The project was implemented with the support of the Department of culture of the Almaty Akimat and the Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory. The main sponsor of the contest- festival was LG Electronics Kazakhstan.
"I am sure there are many talented children in our country who study classical performing arts, but they have little opportunity to express themselves at large academic venues. The main idea of this festival is to identify young talents, give them an opportunity and an incentive to develop" - Zarina said.
